kristinnvaughn I love the storytelling in "Gold 'Til the Grave" and "El Merchero". "I Recall" makes me think of playing DND on a snowy/rainy day in Michigan and it just feels like home. This whole album gets me. Favorite track: El Merchero.

Now your lives I won’t save I live for the gold ‘til the grave And little as we are against the waves I am still just a knave Who won’t give up now Not after years at the bow But to have it all I must Find a crew that I trust Given the chance I’d choose it again Anything less than my death is a sin What kind of guy have I been? What kind of guy have I been? It’s all happened before Once we’re far passed the shore They’ll all rise against me So I must set them free They’ll all walk the plank Like the others who sank To the depths below Where all traders go Given the chance I’d choose it again Anything less than my death is a sin What kind of guy have I been? What kind of guy have I been? Is there some lesson I’ve learned How on the seas I have turned So rotten with greed Now your words I won’t head I don’t think I’ve gone mad But all my rum has been had So what’s a poor captain to do? Get them before they get you Given the chance I’d choose it again Anything less than my death is a sin What kind of guy have I been? What kind of guy have I been?

El Merchero 06:06
He had heard it all before the excuses and the pleas A last attempt and final words to try and make some peace But by now his heart was cold and every bone was bad This is what happens when you mess around with One bullet to the head another for good measure The body fell straight to the floor and brought him twisted pleasure A week went by and in the field police had found the gun His prints were on it they had him suspect number one But he was loco, bad, and rough and he knew just what to do He cut his fingertips right off police would have no proof One finger at a time erasing any trail Of the things that he had done and that’s the tale of One bullet to the head another for good measure The body fell straight to the floor and brought him twisted pleasure Everyone knew he had killed that man some weeks ago But no one dared stand witness against El Merchero One bullet to the head another for good measure The body fell straight to the floor and brought him twisted pleasure One finger at a time erasing any trail Of the things that he had done and that’s the tale of Whatchu gonna do, you got no proof Whatchu gonna do you got no Whatchu gonna do, you got no proof Whatchu gonna do you got no...

Good Song 02:29
Hello morning Hello lake birds through The window early on into The day until I hear you say This is a good song This is a good song Don’t you think this is a good song? This is a good song This is a good song, yeah But this is a good song too Hello sweetheart Hello to your voice too Over up inside and through my brain Until I hear me say This is a good song This is a good song Don’t you think this is a good song? This is a good song This is a good song, yeah But this is a good song too Hello evening Hello thunder through The window oh so late into the night Until I hear you say This is a good song This is a good song Don’t you think this is a good song? This is a good song This is a good song Don’t you think this is a good song? This is a good song This is a good song Don’t you think this is a good song? This is a good song This is a good song Don’t you think this is a good song?

I Recall 07:59
Seeing as though the ice has fallen, we journey on with surrounding gloom The path freezes over as we continue our departure, and all we feel is impending doom But as the snow turns into rain, I recall; A place from whence I came But as the snow turns into rain, I recall; A place from whence I came The path that led me to the left, at first seemed like a brutal test But as my boundaries pushed further to the limit it created, A ripple through my heart and chest But as the snow turns into rain, I recall; A place from whence I came But as the snow turns into rain, I recall; A place from whence I came But as the snow turns into rain, I recall; A place from whence I came But as the snow turns into rain, I recall; A place from whence I came But as the snow turns into rain, I recall; A place from whence I came But as the snow turns into rain, I recall; A place from whence I came

So Fly 04:59
I'm so glad you gave me a try My lady is lookin so fly Come with me and we will try To fly up way up high in the sky Way up high In the sky So fly In the sky Let's keep all our shit on the ground Just focus on that musical sound Believe me when i say we are bound Together and forever in the sky Way up high In the sky So fly In the sky Let's bring what we learned back down Fixin up the cracks in our town By spreading what we got all around And leading all our peeps to the sky Way up high In the sky So fly In the sky

In the spare room Where we kept you With the stuff George left you And the keeper Of the freezer Buried you much deeper In the ground You found the answer To Grok now and after I don’t want to stay outside In ice I hide And the saints came marching home Through these tunnels I will roam Not to reach this path unknown, ooh To stay frozen for all time On this quest that I must find Escape the room of cans and trash As they crash on my task I will pass through the cracks Free at last Now a giant I must face And all his race I was trying to escape The giant with the cape and jeans I was slipping through the seems, ooh To stay frozen for all time On this quest that I must find Escape the room of cans and trash As they crash on my task I will pass through the cracks Free at last

Below the wind, you feel the difference when you're all the deflated and when you're feelin' whole The sun sets on a snowy field looping like the frames in a reel that just keep on spinning around Whether I get flat or stuck I just got to take it day by day I don't want to stay here but i just can’t seem to float away Falling faster towards the trees Losing time and feeling free parts of you will fade away as you do your best to never stay See the world from a string above the standard as you’re floating by so try to just keep getting high Find yourself in some strange land flat on your back without a string to stand And you can never just blow away Whether I get flat or stuck I just have to take it day by day I don't want to stay here but i just can’t seem to float away Falling faster towards the trees Losing time and feeling free parts of you will fade away as you do your best to never stay Hey Hey Hey Don't let the wind take you away Hey Hey Hey Don't let the wind take you away listen to me when I say it can't decide for us its not what controls us may Opus please guide you this day
